We walked into Port Clinton and were met by the members of FunkyTown. They were going to spend the night at the pavilion in town, where campers are welcome to stay. We opted to hitch into Hamburg, where we were closer to a resupply and could shower, do laundry, and sleep on a mattress.
July 1: Today the plan was to resupply quickly and get back on the trail. Turns out things were not that simple. The layout of the plaza where the outfitters and Walmart were made a simple resupply take 3 hours! Then, by the time we had checked out and eaten lunch, it was nearly 2 and pouring rain. So back to the hotel we went, checked back in, and slept the afternoon away.
